The controversy began on Wednesday, July 8, when FunnyMike released a track titled “Undrafted,” directly criticizing the initiative. DDG quickly followed suit with his own response, “Mike STFU,” which utilized the beat from Drake’s “Janice STFU” to take aim at both FunnyMike and the Streamer University collective. In the track, DDG raps, “Smoking on Live, I’m rolling up/If I smell Mike’s grill right now, I’m throwing up. If I get the address to that school, I’m showing up/If I see a clip and I ain’t in it, I’m scrolling up.”
In response to the lyrical jabs, Kai Cenat initiated a direct confrontation with DDG during a live broadcast. During the call, Kai Cenat demanded that the content be removed within 48 hours, warning of potential consequences if the tracks remained online.
