European festivals Mad Cool and NOS Alive are set to roll over to 2022.

Mad Cool takes place in Madrid, while NOS Alive occupies a site further down the Iberian peninsula in Lisbon.

The two festivals had intended to push ahead this summer, but lingering concerns around the spread of coronavirus have caused their postponement.

In a statement, Mad Cool wrote:

“We are sorry to announce that once again we are forced to postpone our 5th anniversary. We are already working on #MadCool2022. We can promise that the next time we get together it will be unforgettable. We will enjoy music and life as it should be.”

The team added: “We will shine again!”

NOS Alive said in a message to ticket holders:

All tickets for Mad Cool 2021 and NOS Alive 2021 will roll over to next year.
