moa moa's 'Spinning' Is A Surreal Alt-Pop Jammer

South London individualists moa moa return with new single ‘Spinning’.

The band’s sound is both coy and outlandish, matching bulbous doses of synthetic sound to a lyrical flair that opts for the under-stated.

New single ‘Spinning’ is out now, produced by influential studio boffin James Ratcliffe.

Out now on producer Charlie Andrew’s (alt-J, Marika Hackman) Square Leg Records, ‘Spinning’ offers extra-dimensional pop thrills, the brooding sonics shot through with shards of light.

Singer James Ratcliffe comments: “Lyrically, I was trying to be playfully candid about self-love and self-acceptance. The subject matter definitely slipped into the writing, which is where the colourful backdrop to Spinning comes from.”

Keyboardist Connor Foweraker adds: “’Spinning’ is a bit of a shift from where we left off last, but we’re really happy to have something so vibrant to accompany ‘Yellow Jacket’”.

Tune in now.
