Organ Morgan Tackle The Anxiety Of Ageing With 'Dracula's Toothache'

Posted by

Organ Morgan is a brand new project that yearns towards the ageless.

The folk collective tap into the outsider ethics that drive traditional forms, while interweaving this with modern vantage points.

Working with Broadside Hacks – a new trad. arr. leaning imprint set up by Sorry bass player Campbell Baum – new single ‘Dracula’s Toothache’ is out now.

Witty and wise, it deals with the anxieties that follow ageing, it matches a wistful, reflective side to some extremely visceral songwriting.

Speaking about the track, Organ Morgan’s Harris McMillan comments…

“The song came from some unpleasant realisations I had about getting older – I noticed I’d shed many parts of my life that I’d always considered integral, and kept other parts that I’d rather have lost. I found the most reliable image I had of myself was in the way others saw me – it can be difficult to live outside those expectations.”

We’ve got first play of the video, and it’s a fine opening statement from a group who promise much.
