Rick Ross has made his feelings regarding Drake’s latest musical output crystal clear. In a recent appearance on the PBD Podcast, the Miami rap mogul did not mince words when discussing the Toronto artist’s new album, Iceman, describing the project as “horrendous.”
During the interview, which took place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Ross was pressed for his thoughts on the new LP. The “Hustlin’” rapper, who has been vocal about his strained relationship with the OVO head, suggested that Drake is simply not operating on his level. Ross also touched upon the ongoing legal tensions involving the artist and Universal Music Group.
“When you diss certain people and they can’t deal with it emotionally, they’re embarrassed,” Ross stated. “They’re humiliated. That’s when they sue all of these people.”
Ross claimed he had listened to several tracks from the project and was left unimpressed. He went as far as to mock Drake’s singing style, jokingly crooning, “No one’s my friend/You left me alone.” He added, “It’s that type of sh*t. You gotta be a boss out here, man.”
The criticism didn’t stop there. Ross recounted anecdotal feedback from his own circle, noting that listeners struggled to find any merit in the work. “By the fifth song, they came out, they was like, ‘Damn, this sh*t wack.’ Then they went back in and listened to it. I’m like, it’s not nothing that’s dope… This a muthaf**ka who always bringing up Michael Jackson. Where the ‘Billy Jean’ at? Where the ‘Thriller?’ My homies actually sat there and they lost an hour of their life for this sh*t.”
This latest critique follows Ross’ initial reaction on the day of the album’s release, where he labeled the project as “mid.” As the public discourse surrounding Iceman continues, it is clear that the veteran rapper has no intention of softening his stance.
