Suffolk’s Red Rooster Festival intends to go ahead in 2020.

COVID-19 has wiped the festival calendar clean for the next 12 months, with the vast majority of events deciding to postpone until 2021.

Red Rooster Festival – held at Suffolk’s Euston Hall – will use the latest social distancing recommendations, with capacity capped at 5000.

The entire site is 10,000 acres, with three stages set to be arranged, featuring cajun, country, Americana, and folk.

Here’s the announce.

In a statement, Red Rooster Festival director and production manager James Brennan said:

“We are working closely with our health & safety and production teams to produce something that is truly magical, without losing the spirit and atmosphere of our beautiful little festival. Over 60% of our audience stay in family group camper vans, which hugely helps us contain camping areas safely, plus by moving to outdoor stages only, we feel we can offer a safe environment in which to enjoy the festival.”

He added: “Over the next few weeks, we will be putting together stringent new plans and providing detailed information to ensure the safety of our audience, artists and crew, which is of course of paramount importance.”

Red Rooster Festival runs between September 4th – 6th.
