Silly Boy Blue wants to turn the rule book upside down.
Real name Ana Benabdelkarim, this Nantes-born, Paris-based songwriter is determined to speak her truth, at whatever the cost.
Lush, precocious pop music with an alternative bent, she actually started her musical life in the group Pégase, before opting to go it alone.
Choosing her name from the David Bowie song, about a boy who breaks all the rules, Silly Boy Blue embraces all her glories and all her flaws.
New single ‘Goodbye’ is a beautiful return, one that fully invites fans into her world, sending the barriers tumbling in the process.
French director Jeanne Lula Chauveau steers the video, one that we’re delighted to be able to showcase before anyone else.
Silly Boy Blue comments…
We shot this video at home, wanting to capture the emotions and memories of the place. It can be a struggle to get out of bed after a breakup when you’re surrounded by certain feelings, and that’s exactly what we wanted to shoot. At some point, the clothes shrink, the blanket is leaving and you’re ready to let go: and that’s what this song is about. Letting go.
Tune in now.
