2 Chainz has been in campaign mode since his Verzuz battle with Rick Ross, which took place on August 6. After dropping his Lil Wayne-assisted single “Money Maker” and an animated video for the track, the veteran rapper has unveiled the release date for his sixth album So Help Me God.
“SO HELP ME GOD sept 25,” he announced via Instagram.
In a follow-up post, he added, “Gearing up for another shocker.”

2 Chainz first mentioned the So Help Me God LP in a post-Verzuz battle interview with The Breakfast Club. The TRU boss told Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy the rollout for the album was imminent following his showdown with Rozay.
Those words proved to be true as he delivered the “Money Maker” single on August 7 and unveiled his project’s release date a few weeks later.
In addition to his solo effort, 2 Chainz is planning to drop a sequel to 2016’s ColleGrove LP with Wayne before the end of 2020. Although Weezy is featured on “Money Maker,” the track is intended to be the lead single for So Help Me God as opposed to ColleGrove 2.
So Help Me God, which will be released via Def Jam Recordings, is 2 Chainz’s first solo album since 2019’s Rap Or Go To The League. The LP will be his second project of 2020 as he teamed up with his TRU roster for a compilation titled No Face No Case in February.
