6ix9ine's Entourage Members (Including Ex-Cop) Indicted For Criminal Impersonations

New York, N.Y. – Five members of 6ix9ine’s private security team were indicted on Monday (July 19) stemming from an altercation that saw the entourage dangerously pursuing a couple through the streets of Harlem back on August 9, 2020.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance alleged that the crew chased a victim using their SUV and sirens with flashing lights and then went on to lie about the incident to police officers. One of the security team members is actually a former NYPD detective named Daniel Laperuta.

“A celebrity entourage is not a police department, and Manhattan is not the Wild West,” Vance said. “As alleged, these highly-compensated vigilantes caravanned through the streets of Harlem with sirens flashing in order to track a man down and steal and break his phone.”

A couple allegedly attempted to record a secret video of 6ix9ine and that’s what ignited the 20-block chase. The crew boxed the couple in around 125th Street and opened the 34-year-old victim’s car door, pulled his arm and went on to stomp his phone out.

Charges for the crew include attempted robbery in the first and second degree in addition to criminal impersonation in the first degree as well. Laperuta reportedly pleaded not guilty on Monday and is expected to post bail.

During his time on the force, Laperuta, 44, faced seven accusations of misconduct throughout three separate incidents, according to Patch. Other names in the indictment include security team members Sammy Sprouse, Christian Cortez, Edgardo Cortez and Kristian Fuhse.
