Akademiks Tries To Save The Day After Roddy Ricch Deletes Instagram & Twitter

Roddy Ricch has been having a tough time with trolls and critics lately. The Compton rap star released his second studio album, LIVE LIFE FAST, which got dragged by fans, and he later followed that up with new music snippets. Unfortunately, people sang the same tune and reduced Roddy’s latest musical efforts as lackluster.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper deleted his Twitter amidst all the responses from fans regarding the snippets, but Roddy is getting some support from an unlikely friend. On Saturday (February 5), Akademiks took to his Twitter to defend Roddy Ricch from all the people calling him a mid-level artist these days while also explaining why things have gone sour.

“Roddy Ricch just need to get back on grind mode.. and its hard for artists to do after they’ve had hella success…,” Akademiks wrote. “Nobody loves you that much to wait 3 years for project. Feed the skreets.. OFTEN..or watch them turn on u word to NBA YOUNGBOY. unless u kendrick, frank ocean etc.”

Akademiks then used Kodak Black as an example and how people turned on him following the Trump pardon in 2020. Kodak kept dropping songs until he found the right one, and now he has a Top 10 Billboard hit with “Super Gremlin” being “the biggest Hip Hop song.”

He added, “The only difference is how you handle when fans start crying out ‘Mid’. N-ggas probably forgot when they tried to switch up on Uzi for ‘mid’ snippets and EA first version at one point then that nigga dropped 70 in the second half and we only talk about how he won the game.”

Roddy has been taking the recent criticisms pretty hard. After deleting his Twitter account, he also took down his Instagram page after posting a peace sign emoji in his Instagram Stories. Fans speculated he left social media to continue working on his Feed Tha Streets 3 mixtape.

“Guess I’m a flop now,” he wrote. “Shit crazy.”
