DaniLeigh has been the subject of a lot of trolling since her dealings with DaBaby became public knowledge.
The issue with fans is the fact that the “Rockstar” rapper was very much still involved with his daughter’s mother MeMe at the time he started seeing Dani, but the singer/songwriter has maintained that she had no idea. Doing a little late-night tweeting on Tuesday (September 8), DaniLeigh reflected on their rocky entanglement and the backlash she’s received over it.
“I never had hate til I dated you,” read one of her tweets captured by The Shade Room. She later deleted it and clarified she’d had a typo and meant “haters.”

“You’re not selfish for wanting the same energy and love you give. Remember that,” one of her retweets read.
Waking up to her posts on TSR, the “Bop” choreographer hopped in the comments to clarify a few things.
“Y’all gotta try to have more love this early in the day…but at the end of the day I’m human,” she wrote on Wednesday morning (September 9). “That man was 100% single “to me” when we started … I’m done talking about it tho I promise. ready to get this money and drop this album. good morning everyone and have a blessed day today.”
View this post on Instagram#DaniLeigh stepped into #TheShadeRoom with a message about her recent tweets and seemingly confirms she and #DaBaby are no longer an item!
The pair seemingly called off their situationship over the summer, as evidenced by a lengthy post on Dani’s Instagram Story that referenced “finding closure.” After said “haters” tore that apart on behalf of MeMe, Dani spoke out the next day and clarified again she was not the “homewrecker” they accused her of being.
“But idc to explain to anyone in the world cause I really don’t owe y’all nothing,” she wrote in response to a fan who said DaBaby was single when he’d dated her.
She responded to another fan accusing her of knowing with, “Never knew, stop speaking like u actually in our lives bro. U have no idea of anything.”
There was a time when things were all good between Dani and DaBaby, stepping out arm-in-arm at one point over the summer and earlier this year, collaborating on a song and video for Dani called “Levi High.” And as mentioned earlier, Dani was also recruited to choreograph the dance moves you see in Baby’s video for “Bop.”
It’s unclear what status DaBaby and MeMe are on at the moment, but the rapper is currently expecting a child with another woman.
