Dame Dash has publicly called out The Breakfast Club, expressing deep frustration over the radio show’s consistent coverage of his ongoing bankruptcy issues. The media mogul argues that the platform prioritizes negative narratives surrounding his financial state while failing to acknowledge the positive professional endeavors he continues to pursue.
The latest friction stems from a report by The Breakfast Club‘s Loren Lorosa, who noted that a trustee overseeing Dame Dash‘s bankruptcy case has filed documentation seeking permission to sell his “life rights.” This potential sale would encompass his life story, voice, image, likeness, and biography, effectively commodifying his personal history to satisfy outstanding debts.
In a video response shared on social media, Dash did not mince words regarding the show’s editorial choices. “I just feel like you guys make it too obvious,” Dash stated. “Why don’t you ever talk about any of the good stuff? Are you guys trying to line me up? Are you guys trying to amplify a narrative?”
Dash questioned the intent behind the reporting, suggesting that the focus on his financial downfall feels targeted. “Why are you the voice of everything bad and nothing good, Loren? It’s like a case study on stupidity, or alleged Devil worship. I don’t know. Either way, I’m hustling,” he added, pivoting to promote his BET show, OG Stories.
Following the backlash, Loren Lorosa addressed the comments on Friday, maintaining that her reporting was objective. She clarified that she holds no personal animosity toward Dash and was simply presenting a story that was relevant to the show’s audience.
This latest exchange highlights the long-standing, often contentious relationship between Dash and the popular radio program, as he continues to navigate complex legal and financial challenges while attempting to maintain his public image and creative output.
