“Can we end my roughest gambling year on a good note??,” Drake asked on Instagram over the weekend while announcing three nights of Kick livestreams with creator BenDaDonnn, his last of 2025. (Over the summer the rapper revealed that he lost $8 million in just a month.)
“I am officially the brokest Stake streamer currently, but we are here to turn the tides,” Drake said to kick off Sunday’s stream. Then after doing shots, the pair tried their luck at blackjack while rocking out to Mk.gee’s “ROCKMAN.”
Drake played the whole song, singing along and dancing, for the tens of thousands of fans watching. Mk.gee performed “ROCKMAN” on Saturday Night Live last fall, and this year he contributed to Justin Bieber’s Swag and Swag II, earning his highest Hot 100 credit with “Daisies,” which hit #2 in the US and #1 in the UK. So Drake is not so early on the Mk.gee hype train, but he did get props from viewers for DJ’ing UK underground rapper cityboymoe’s “me or ma.”
At one point during the 90 minutes of online gambling, Drake referred to Spotify as “Botify,” which is funny because last month he was named in one lawsuit accusing the app of “turning a blind eye” to tons of allegedly fake streams of his music and another accusing him and streamer Adin Ross of receiving “unjust enrichment” from Stake.
During the broadcast Drake said his new album Iceman is still being worked on: “I know what you’re waiting on, trust me, we cheffin’.” And he unveiled his Nike sublabel NOCTA’s new capsule with Chrome Hearts, which includes a woodland camo puffer collab that immediately sold out after a surprise in-person-only drop, even though it cost $4,850 and is incredibly ugly.
He also teased Chrome Hearts x NOCTA Hot Step 2 sneakers, which are the color “total orange,” but seemingly unrelated to Marty Supreme.
On Night 2, Drake started off by gifting BenDaDonnn an all-black Rolls-Royce, so he’s not broke yet. He also proclaimed, “I’m one of the most profound writers of our time.”
