Drake Superfan Issa Rae Still Hasn't Forgiven Meek Mill: 'I Don't Enjoy When People Try Him'

Throughout his career, Drake has amassed many fans who support him in everything he does such as defending him in beefs he’s found himself in with other rappers such as Meek Mill. Drake also has several superfans like Issa Rae, who really go all out for the Drizzy.

During her appearance on The ETCs with Kevin Durant, the famed television and film producer explained her appreciation for the Toronto rap star and the lengths she goes to defend him. Issa Rae still hasn’t forgiven Meek Mill for his beef with Drake despite the 6 God burying the hatchet with him in 2018.

“I have not listened to Meek Mill,” Issa Rae said before telling the ETC crew she hasn’t forgiven Meek. “I’m the girlfriend that’s like ‘He asked for no onions!’ You know, so that’s like I just felt protective of him with [Meek Mill] and Pusha T.”

Issa continued, “The music that came out of that period was great, but I don’t like when people try him.”

Drake and Issa Rae have been friends since the 6 God had her appear in the video for his 2018 hit “Nice For What.” There was a rumor Issa turned down Drake at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2020, but she said that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
