Famous Dex Out Of Rehab — But Fans Are Convinced He’s Still High Following Another Disturbing Video

Posted by

Famous Dex has seemingly been battling substance abuse issues for years, but he recently denied he was on “hard drugs” after images of him looking gaunt and heavily under the influence made the rounds on Twitter.

People were concerned he was only days away from a fatal drug overdose and pleaded for him to get help. Despite the Chicago-bred rapper’s claim, he still dragged himself to rehab last month in an apparent effort to get help. But that was short lived and Dex is already back to his old ways less than 30 days later, posting videos of himself not exactly looking healthy.

On Saturday (January 23), Akademiks posted a clip of Dex on Instagram Live, once again appearing emaciated and high but flexing his muscles. He appears to be dancing to music, but whatever he’s playing isn’t audible. While the former Everyday Struggle co-host curiously wrote in the caption Dex was “feeling better,” it doesn’t appear that way to his fans.

As indicated in the comment section, Dex fans are convinced he’s still using and should return to rehab immediately. One person wrote, “He definitely popped a perc the first day out,” another said, “That man is high smfh” and yet another claimed, “Guy looks like he got out a week ago and has been high since.” Comment after comment noted he look anything but sober in the video.

But those concerns will likely fall on deaf ears just as they have before. Dex appeared infuriated prior to his rehab stint when he was accused of using heavy narcotics.

“Hey fam, I really don’t need you to be saying shit like this, bro,” he said in an Instagram video. “Let me tell you something, I want to address this to everybody that’s listening to me. Stop worrying the next muthafucka that’s doing drugs [inaudible]. The world on drugs, you know what I’m sayin’? I used to love doing whatever.

“I got money, I can do whatever the fuck I wanna do. Goofy ass bitch. Fuck you worried about me for? And two, I don’t do none of that shit, n-gga. I smoke weed and take care of my kids. What the fuck is wrong with you?”

Dex also threatened to physically assault Akademiks for sharing the disturbing images that got him trending in the first place.

“Don’t nobody say congratulations when I went certified gold for my album,” he said at the time. “Nobody be saying any of that … Y’all so worried about me. Whatever y’all worried about, get the fuck off my dick. DJ Akademiks, you’s a fucking lame. Stay off my dick you fucking lame ass dude. If I ever see you, I will smack the fuck out you. I swear to god on my son.”
