New York, N.Y. – G-Eazy was reportedly booked into custody on Monday (September 13) by New York City police on assault charges stemming from an alleged altercation that took place days prior outside a lavish Manhattan nightclub.

According to the New York Daily News, G-Eazy — born Gerald Gillum — was involved in a brawl outside The Standard, Highline early Friday (September 10) where he allegedly punched a 32-year-old following an argument.

The initial quarrel between G-Eazy’s crew and another group began inside the Boom Boom Room when Young Gerald and co. refused to leave a VIP area which was reserved for a Lacoste company New York Fashion Week party.

G-Eazy and his entourage allegedly “punched and kicked” a separate victim inside to the ground. Neither victim was reportedly hospitalized for their injuries.

The 29-year-old had been in town for New York Fashion Week and also attended the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards at the Barclays Center. He is scheduled to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court on October 1.
