A sugar-rush offering from the London-based trio, the track ramps up its full acoustics over fuzzy, shoegaze melodies. Drawing parallels between Wolf Alice, Wet Leg and Radiohead, the outfit fashion their own fantasy, pin-dropping its crowd into a whirlwind, escapist romance.
Hazy Waters are vocalist and visual artist Agness and producer Aleks, whose collaborative relationship traces back to their teenage years spent in Poland. Later joined by Simon, who has a background in Spanish classical conservatories, the full ensemble deliver an all-encompassing performance as one.
Speaking on the track, lead vocalist Agness shares:
“This track was a major shift for me. I usually write from personal experience, but ‘high’ is built entirely on a ‘what-if’ scenario. It’s about pure imagination and the literal high you get from a fleeting moment of connection with someone you might never see again.”
