The Rap-A-Lot signee is no stranger to violence. Detractors came for his life in November 2020 when he was ambushed by assailants and shot eight times while in a parked vehicle. Part of the altercation was broadcast on his Instagram Live.
The Alabama native was in a coma for a week as a result of the shooting and doctors told him he wouldn’t be able to walk again. While still in recovery, Brazy took to his Instagram Live to detail the crazy turn of events.
After taking a charge for his friend, who was killed the same day he accepted another four years in prison, Brazy beat another murder charge and then was shot eight times during his first week out.
“I did like a year and eight months just fighting that murder,” Brazy recalled. “First week out, n-ggas whipped me up and shot me eight times. I shoot to [Atlanta] with Ralo and them in Pakistan. I just left that bitch right before the feds hit that bitch — I should’ve been in there.”
He continued, “I’m like, ‘I can’t rap right now.’ I gotta go spin. When I try to get in the studio, I couldn’t even do a bar. I’m like, ‘These n-ggas just stepped on me, I can’t rap.’ So we step as soon as I get out my coma — I came out my coma a week later — that’s when I shoot up. I’m spinning every night I came down [to Mobile].”
Brazy’s 1067 project arrived in January. Rap-A-Lot CEO J. Prince even made a guest appearance in his signee’s “Dead People” visual.
