Kendrick Lamar released his highly anticipated follow-up to 2017’s Pulitzer Prize-winning album DAMN. on Friday (May 13). Titled Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, the double album boasts 18 tracks and contributions from Ghostface Killah, Kodak Black, Blxst, Portishead’s Beth Gibbons and Summer Walker, among others.
To coincide with the project, Kendrick has announced dates for The Big Steppers Tour, which consists of 65 performances scattered across the globe with supporting acts Baby Keem and fellow pgLang artist Tanna Leone.
Beginning on July 19 in Oklahoma City, The Big Steppers Tour winds through the Southern states before heading up the East Coast in August. From there, it makes a stop a Canada before retuning to the U.S. for dates in Detroit, Columbus, Denver and Chicago. After substantial time on the West Coast, Kendrick flies to Amsterdam on October 7 then travels though Europe before finally going to Australia in December to close out the yaer.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with over 300,000 total album-equivalent units sold in its opening week. There are currently no physical copies available in any format, including vinyl. For now, fans can listen to the project on all digital streaming platforms.
