Meek Mill Donates $500K In Christmas Gifts To Philly Families In Need

Philadelphia, PA – Meek Mill is subjected to a lot of ribbing on social media, but the Dream Chasers founder is actually doing some good in his hometown of Philadelphia. According to a recent Instagram post, Meek is channeling the spirit of Santa Claus and donating $500,000 worth of toys to Philly families in need.

With the help of Patriots owner Robert Kraft, 76ers partner Michael Rubin and his managers at Roc Nation, Meek plans to gift bikes, video game gift cards, laptops, tablets, dolls and more to dozens of families. The event takes place on Sunday (December 19) where he’ll also be donating another $30,000 to the local chapter of Twelve Days of Christmas, a volunteer organization supplying families during the holiday season.

Meek Mill was unable to meet up with the lucky recipients in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but got to video chat with one of the families. In a video shared by TMZ at the time, Meek surprised the Morse family with an XBox Series X, Puma clothes, iPads and more.

The patriarch of the family, Anthony Morse, fosters five children in addition to raising his own. Meek personally FaceTimed Morse who told him, “Thank you so much for blessing my babies man,” to which Meek replied, “I appreciate that, man. That’s what I’m here for. Here to help out.”
