Mother Of Flavor Flav's 3-Year-Old Son Says He's Hiding His Income To Avoid Higher Child Support Payments

Exclusive – Flavor Flav appeared to be fulfilling his parental obligations to his 3-year-old son Jordan, his eighth child and only with former manager Kate Gammell.

TMZ recently ran a favorable article claiming the Public Enemy member was paying $3,000 a month in child support and attempting to build a relationship with the young boy, seeing him at least once a week. The 63-year-old also supposedly filed legal documents that will allow Jordan to take his last name of Drayton.

Although the outlet did note he still owed Gammell over $78,000 in back child support, Gammell tells HipHopDX Flav is still dropping the ball when it comes to his responsibilities (including medical care). Furthermore, he blocked Gammell on Instagram last week after she posted a video of him drumming with Jordan.

“We decided to settle outside of court because Flav said he was going to be there for Jordan, seeing him once a week, pay $3,000 a month and pay his medical,” Gammell tells DX. “I trusted him. He also has only seen Jordan six times since he was born in 2019.

“The terms of the agreement we came up with is that Flav’s child support is based upon his income, but he has not provided the required documentation to determine that. He does gigs and doesn’t give me the contracts. He is hiding his income.”

Gammell also revealed Flavor Flav has indicated he has no intentions of paying the $78,000 in child support from Jordan’s first two years of life or the $60,000 in attorney fees.

“Jordan has trouble detoxing and has to have specialized medical care and medicines,” she continues. “Flavor is supposed to pay half of that but has failed to do so. And, if he really wants Jordan in his life, why would he block me? It clearly shows he doesn’t care about Jordan since he did it right after I put the drum video up on my Instagram. Or is he afraid I will see all his gigs, which will produce income and then he has to pay higher child support? He is not transparent and by blocking me on Instagram, he is clearly showing his statements to TMZ is not true

“Now Jordan can’t see pictures of his dad or is he afraid I will see all of his gigs, which produce income and then he has to pay higher child support. He is not transparent and by blocking me on Instagram, he is clearly showing his statements to TMZ is not true.”

Flavor Flav agreed to a paternity test in 2019 after previously denying Jordan was his child. The results proved he’s 100 percent the father, but Gammell has struggled for years to get to him to step up to the plate.

Flav claims he plans to pay the $78,000 to Gammell and continue paying child support, but Gammell isn’t holding her breath. He also owed over $100,000 in attorney fees, which he’s reportedly whittled down to $60,000. Gammell will have to decide whether she wants to get the courts involved in the coming weeks.
