Offset & Saweetie Cheating Rumors Run Rampant After Quavo Gets 'Messy' On New Song

Offset and Saweetie trended on social media for all the wrong reasons after fans believed Quavo alluded to them sleeping together.

The apparent revelation came on Quavo’s new album with fellow Migos member Takeoff, Only Built For Infinity Links, which arrived on streaming services on Friday (October 7).

“I said ‘Caresha, please’ ’cause she too messy / Bitch fucked my dawg behind my back but I ain’t stressin’ / You wanted the gang? You shoulda just said it, we would’ve just blessed it / Now shit got messy,” Huncho rapped on the song “Messy.”

While Quavo didn’t name names, many listeners believed he was referring to his partner-in-rhyme and cousin Offset sleeping with his ex-girlfriend Saweetie, suggesting it was the reason behind the Migos’ sudden breakup earlier this year.

“so quavo cheated. they ended[.] saweetie fucked offset as revenge[.] quavo found out. the end,” read one viral tweet, which racked up over 40,000 likes and 5,000 retweets.

Another chimed in with: “Rumors about offset & saweetie been going around all year & now Quavo calling offset unloyal and saying saweetie fcked his dawg behind his back. Not only are u cheating on ya wife AGAIN, but this time with ya cousins girlfriend, Bruhh! That circle is so messy.”

Other fans speculated Quavo was talking about fellow Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, who was rumored to have had a fling with Saweetie last year.

“quavo is talking about lil baby. not offset,” one user tweeted. “but he knows the offset & saweetie rumors are circulating so he’s just being double messy.”

Another fan wrote: “Y’all automatically thinking she fucked offset…LETS NOT FORGET SHE WAS CRUISING AROUND WIT LIL BABY #SAWEETIE.”

Quavo and Saweetie’s two-and-a-half-year relationship was plagued by cheating rumors, with the “Icy Girl” rapper citing “betrayal,” “hurt” and intimacy being given to other women while announcing their split in March 2021.

Saweetie addressed her breakup with Quavo during a recent appearance on Yung Miami’s Caresha Please show, which Quavo referenced on “Messy.”

“We had a lot of growing pains together,” she said. “I thought we was gonna spend the rest of our lives together. With him, I just knew it was the one. It was different. I was just, like, hella enthralled with who he was as a human. Even if he wasn’t a rapper, I would’ve still been in love with him.”

“Messy” comes shortly after Quavo and Takeoff shed light on the Migos’ breakup on the Big Facts podcast, implying it was due to a lack of loyalty on Offset’s part.

“We gon’ stand on loyalty,” Quavo said. “We stand on real deal loyalty, and sometimes that shit ain’t displayed. This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no [Quality Control Music], nothing. This got something to do with the three brothers.”
