The follow-up to Pusha T’s Grammy-nominated DAYTONA album is nearly complete. King Push joined Mr. Biddy Barnes’ Behind the Velvet Rope Instagram Live show on Tuesday (March 30) to provide fans with an update on the untitled project.

The album will boast 12 tracks in total and before taking it across the finish line, Pusha T plans to lock in with Kanye West for another session and get his stamp of approval.

“I’m working on the album right now,” he said. “Probably 12 [songs]. I usually don’t do a lot of extras, but I feel like I have some extras right now, but I’m gonna keep 12. I gotta go sit-in with [Kanye] for a little bit, but other than that, it’s just these 12.”

The G.O.O.D. Music president has high expectations for his album, as he expects it to be the best of the year when it’s all set and done in 2021 for Hip Hop.

“I’m going to have the best album that drops in 2021 for sure,” Pusha declared.

There still isn’t a firm release date for the effort, but Pusha promised to deliver this year. The critically-acclaimed DAYTONA was produced by Kanye and kicked off G.O.O.D. Music’s summer domination in May of 2019. Pusha T received a Grammy nomination in the Best Rap Album category for his third LP, but lost out to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy.
