Quavo Donates $150K To Single Mothers In Atlanta

Atlanta, GA – Quavo is known to always keep himself iced-out (look no further than his customary diamond grill), but the Migos star splashes his cash on more than expensive jewelry.

On Saturday (April 30), Quavo hosted his fourth annual Huncho Day Celebrity Football Game at Pullman Yards in Atlanta, Georgia. The former high school quarterback suited up alongside NFL stars such as Cam Newton, Alvin Kamara and Tyreek Hill, as well as his Atlanta rap brethren Offset and 2 Chainz.

In addition to getting busy on the gridiron, Quavo also donated $150,000 to The Tender Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports single mothers in Atlanta, on behalf of his Quavo Cares Foundation.

“Giving Back Feels Better Than Receiving!” he wrote on Instagram next to a photo of him presenting a giant check to the charity. “150k To The #tenderfoundation To Help All Single Moms Across Atlanta Ga. HUNCHO DAY X LEGENDS. We Did It Kids!”

Launched in January 2020, The Tender Foundation aims to provide “a safe and compassionate space” for single mothers living on the margins in Atlanta to “seek help without feeling ashamed or judged.”

The organization’s stabilization program seeks to minimize the challenges and difficulties that single moms face by providing financial assistance toward rent, utilities and childcare expenses; grocery store gift cards; and a diaper bank offering free diapers, wipes and baby formula.

As for Quavo, the 31-year-old rapper makes a habit of giving back to his local community. Last November, he partnered with food delivery service Gopuff and foodbank charity Feeding America to hand out free turkeys to families in Atlanta.
