LeBron James has always had an ear for music and after announcing he wants to take it to a professional setting, fans are drawing comparisons to DJ Khaled.
Hitting Twitter with a brief thought on Wednesday night (February 17), the NBA superstar toyed with the idea of releasing an album of his own – but only curating the project, à la Khaled.
“My love for music is INSANE!!!” Bron began. “I think I’m going to do a album. Oh no I won’t be rapping or anything like that. I’m not crazy, I know what I’m great at, but I tell you one thing I do have. So many friends that can! Thinking out load..”

On top of constantly playing new Hip Hop tracks for his millions of followers and even sometimes having the opportunity to preview unreleased ones, Bron also served as an A&R on 2 Chainz’s 2019 effort, Rap or Go to the League. He certainly has the connections to make a star-studded album happen, and fans have fittingly been drawing the Khaled comparison on social media.
“LeBron making a DJ Khaled type album is such a good idea,” one person tweeted.

“The thought of LeBron James doing DJ Khaled style adlibs throughout an entire album is hysterical,” another wrote.

Khaled is 11 studio albums in at this point so there’d be alot of catching up to do. However, Bron is certainly capable of pulling the A-list talent the producer has in the past, which includes the likes of Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Usher, John Legend, Pitbull, Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris and many, many more.
Check out more reactions to Bron’s album announcement below.
