Queens, NY-residing neo-psychedelic and experimental electronic artist Chuck W. has been deploying his skills and vision these past years, with two albums released in 2020, Hmdbc II and Small World.
The talented electronic music artist has also announced he will be dropping a new song as part of his “Song In Every Six Series” project. He has already released six tracks from that series and will release “The Song In Every Six Series: Vol. VII – Sky’s On Fire” in a few weeks. The musician explains he got the idea to release a song every 45 days after hearing Spotify Ceo Daniel Ek say “The musicians who think they can release every two years and still get by are just wrong in the modern industry.”
Releasing frequently has become an important part of his work routine, while he also announced another new release, this time a modern dance track titled “P.R.E.S On,” using samples found in Poland dating back to the Soviet era. “P.R.E.S On” is the outcome of a collaborative effort with Dutch artist Captain Ghsotnote, and will drop on April 16.
Chuck’s passion for music dates back to his early childhood, when his mother found him his first drum set in a Garbage truck. After years practicing his craft with a sharp discipline, he had a car accident that stopped him from continuing playing the drums. Instead of abandoning his dream of becoming an artist, he fought back and realized that none but him could release his solo material, which otherwise would get lost in his database.
He kept creating and to date, has released three albums and dozens of singles, driving inspiration from a wide array of genres, from electronic to experimental, neo-psychedelic, and even dance music and crossovers. He likes to embrace the ‘weird’ and experiment with a blend between software and hardware in his productions.
