Uncle Murda returned on New Year’s Day with his annual “Rap Up 2020” putting the year’s happenings in perspective. The New York rap veteran recaps a tumultuous 2020 by giving his thoughts on a myriad of topics including the losses of NBA icon Kobe Bryant, Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, Pop Smoke, King Von and Mo3.

“I’m a fear heavenly father but this time I’m booing you/What did Kobe, Gigi and them other passengers do to you,” he raps about the fatal January helicopter crash that killed the NBA icon, his daughter and seven others before lamenting Pop’s death. “The good die young it really wasn’t his time/him being dead, Tekashi still living is a crime.”

When the COVID-19 vaccine becomes readily available to all citizens, Murda won’t be getting in line to take it. He then questions if the virus was built in a lab and if Donald Trump’s reported positive test for the coronavirus was a hoax.

“Is it real, is it fake? I don’t know, I know shit’s sad/People dying from shit they been had/They said Trump had it but I think he was faking it/They got a vaccine now but I still ain’t taking it/We all saw that nurse who passed from that shit/Live on TV miss me with that funny shit/I don’t trust the government they chasing that fucking bag/Whole coronavirus feel like a money grab,” he raps.

Throughout the 14-minute diatribe, Murda also touches on Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting, Rowdy Rebel’s release from prison, George Floyd’s murder, Irv Gotti saying he had sex with Ashanti, Jeremih’s coronavirus battle, Jada and Will Smith’s entanglement, his beef with Casanova, why he’ll miss Donald Trump, Gucci Mane and Jeezy’s Verzuz and Funk Flex getting liposuction.
