Westside Gunn Co-Signs His 'Pray For Paris' Is Better Than DaBaby's 'Blame It On Baby'

Westside Gunn has made it perfectly clear where he thinks his album ranks against DaBaby’s Blame It On Baby. On Saturday (April 18), the Griselda Records founder shared a popular meme of a person sitting at an outdoor table and taking a poll on a particular topic.

In this case, the poster features the cover of Westside’s new album Pray For Paris and DaBaby’s cover for his latest project Blame It On Baby. The greater-than-sign is pointing toward Pray For Paris.

The 37-year-old rapper wrote in the caption, “Good Morning #PrayforParis.”

Westside is evidently in better spirits these days. On Sunday (April 12), he revealed he’d recently recovered from a case of the coronavirus and admitted he’d felt like he was going to die at one point.

“I have a confession to Make I’m a Corona Survivor,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “I didn’t want anybody feeling sorry for me I had to thug it out for weeks I didn’t get to see my kids I went to the hospital feeling like I was breathing my last breath the fans and the love I was getting kept me strong I knew I had to drop this Pray for Paris bc GOD have bigger plans for me.

Westside Gunn On Coronavirus Battle: ‘I Literally Thought I Was Dead’

“I went on Tidal live and Fat Joe live but soon as I was done I was right back on the breathing machine today is the first time besides the hospital that I’m about to go outside in a month thx to the ppl who did know and held me down now I’m about to go harder than I ever have that shit tore me up inside I literally thought I was dead designing these clothes and @virgilabloh having my back and @djpremier sending me a beat kept me motivated.”
