As a Philadelphia native and friend of Philadelphia 76ers owner Michael Rubin, Meek Mill might be a little biased, but he had an issue with Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic reportedly winning his second-consecutive NBA MVP award this week over 76ers center Joel Embiid.
“Embiid not getting MVP is crazzzzzyyy,” Meek wrote on Twitter on Monday (May 9) shortly after it was announced the Joker would be taking home the trophy.

Jokic averaged 27 points per game with just under 14 rebounds and eight assists while Embiid posted averages of 26 points, 11 rebounds and three assists a night this season.
Embiid led the 76ers to a slightly better record than Jokic’s Nuggets, but Joker’s 49 wins without his two co-stars in Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray for pretty much the entire season looks to have earned him the second MVP trophy.
While the NBA MVP Award debate rages on, the 76ers have bigger fish to fry with a pivotal game 5 Tuesday night (May 10) in Miami against the Heat with the series even ad two-a-piece.
