Diddy’s son King Combs has joined up with DreamDoll for a new single that samples a 2008 classic.
“Gas You Up” pulls from Lil Mama’s 2008 hit song “Lip Gloss,” and features both rappers spitting about how they plan to gas up their love interest this summer.
“She don’t need no leggings, It’s the ass for me/It’s only Birkins if she ever get a bag from me/It’s the laugh for me/she a good two shoes but she bad for me, might bring ou the Bentley and ‘Rari cause I’m ridin’ different/Flew her to Miami, now her body different,” King Combs raps.
Combs latest single comes after he released a pair of loosies throughout 2020 called “Legacy” and “Cartis.” Combs dropped off his debut EP Cyncerely, C3 in 2019, which featured appearances from Jeremih, 03 Greedo, City Girls, Tee Grizzley and Ty Dolla $ign. In an interview with HipHopDX, Diddy’s youngest said he’s honored to be carrying on his father’s Bad Boy Records legacy.
“For me, what legacy means is family and just doing what you love, and putting your all into it,” he said. “It’s about making a name for your family, and just changing the world. The type of legacy I’m trying to have is a legacy that goes on for just years and years and years, where they just know my name, King Combs and they know what I stand for. They know what we believe in which is pushing the Black king and queens forward, and just having fun and working hard.”
