Several factors stood in the way of Chris Brown earning his second consecutive chart-topping debut with his latest album.
On Saturday (June 25), Hits Daily Double released the first-week sales projections for the “No Guidance” vocalist’s 24-song Breezy LP, revealing CB’s 10th studio album was on pace to sell anywhere from 60,000 to 70,000 total album-equivalent units. Additionally, Lil Durk, who released the deluxe edition of his Billboard 200 No. 1 album 7220 last week, is in contention for a Top 10 debut with Chris Brown due to similar sales projections.
A surge in sales of Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti album, which was the most streamed project on Spotify the week of June 25, has offset the pure sales of both Chris Brown and Lil Durk, as well.

Had Breezy secured the top spot on the Billboard 200, it would’ve given Chris Brown his fourth all-time No. 1, alongside his 2011 F.A.M.E. album, 2012 project Fortune and Indigo — which sold over 108,000 total album-equivalent units in the first week of its release in 2019. CB’s new project may have a chance at redemption, though, as the Virginia native hinted a total of 56 tracks, including 34 additional for the deluxe edition of Breezy, would be arriving soon.
The project is already a star-studded affair as is, though, including featured guest appearances from Fivio Foreign, H.E.R., Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Bryson Tiller and more. A number of singles have also gained traction since the release of Breezy, including his WizKid-leaning “Call Me Everyday,” and “WE (Warm Embrace),” featuring multi-talented singer and dancer Normani.
In other news, the project notched a number one on Apple Music’s U.S. charts and also spawned a top 200 single on Spotify’s U.S. chart. Revisit the stream for Chris Brown’s Breezy album below.
