Police Allege Lil Tjay Instigated Florida Casino Fight

New details have emerged regarding the shooting incident at a Florida casino involving rappers Lil Tjay and Offset. According to a recent report from TMZ, which cites a probable cause affidavit, police are alleging that Lil Tjay initiated a confrontation with Offset, which subsequently led to the Bronx rapper’s associate opening fire on the Migos member.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday, April 6, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Law enforcement officials claim that security footage shows Lil Tjay exiting his vehicle, identifying Offset, and directing his entourage toward the rapper. The situation escalated into a physical altercation, which police allege Lil Tjay recorded on his phone before authorities arrived on the scene.

Legal Fallout and Ongoing Investigation

Following the shooting, Lil Tjay, born Tione Merritt, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Offset, who was the victim of the shooting, was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital. He is currently reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following his release on bond, Lil Tjay publicly claimed that Offset had cooperated with police, labeling him a snitch. However, Lil Tjay’s attorney, Dawn Florio, has vehemently denied her client’s involvement in the shooting. “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting,” Florio stated. “Any reporting to the contrary is false.”
