Wynona Bleach Return To Basics For New Album ‘Animal Style’

Wynona Bleach have shared their new album ‘Animal Style’ in full. The Belfast alt-rock quartet unleashed their imposing debut album ‘Moonsoake’ back in 2022, before heading out on some thrilling live shows. Building their fanbase show by show, the group infused the rock template with some visceral new ideas.

Taking time out to recalibrate, Wynona Bleach went back into the studio last year to build something new. The band’s own Jonny Woods acted as producer, working alongside Andy Bradfield (Björk, The XX, Manic Street Preachers, Rufus Wainwright) and Avril Mackintosh (Bryan Adams, Marillion).

A flurry of singles opened the year, with the biting ‘Not Cool With It’, soaring ‘Religion’, and gently anthemic ‘Be Positive’ sketching out the boundaries of their new era.

Out now, ‘Animal Style’ returns Wynona Bleach to their origins — crisp, muscular rock music, where each song is written with passion and power. Honing in on their songwriting, the band aim for simplicity, allowing each track to speak to its fullest potential. The band comment:

‘Animal Style’ is a return to the band’s basic loves — a more guitar-focused record, with less guitars. It’s about instinct and energy, trusting the songs and playing them like we do live.

Tune in now.
