Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty has officially released his highly anticipated new album, All Eyes on Shiest. The project arrives while the artist remains in custody awaiting trial on serious robbery and kidnapping charges, marking a significant moment in his career despite his current legal circumstances.
Released on Friday (Aug. 7), the 16-track collection includes two bonus songs and showcases a variety of high-profile collaborations. The album features contributions from notable artists such as Big30, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, and the late producer Tay Keith, among others. The project serves as a testament to his continued presence in the hip-hop landscape, even from behind bars.
Reflecting on Reality Through Music
The album’s lead single, “Last Man Breathin,” sets a somber and reflective tone for the project. Produced by Mike & Keys, TP808, and Jackson Botto, the track utilizes piano and violin arrangements to underscore Pooh Shiesty’s candid lyrics about his incarceration and the harsh realities of street life. In the song, he raps, “I feel the walls getting closer, my release date slowly coming/They gave the homie 75 he’ll get out when we turn a 100.”
Legal Challenges and Future Outlook
Pooh Shiesty has been held without bail since his April arrest regarding an alleged robbery and kidnapping incident at a Dallas studio earlier this year. Prosecutors allege that the rapper, alongside his father, Big30, and several others, lured Gucci Mane to the studio to force him to release Pooh from his recording contract at gunpoint. The legal proceedings are ongoing, with a trial currently scheduled for February 22, 2027.
