Eric Cantona takes the lead role in Liam Gallagher’s new ‘Once’ video.
Famously a Manchester City fan, Liam Gallagher links with the United legend for his latest shoot.
The new stripped back version of ‘Once’ appears on his new ‘Acoustic Sessions’ EP, which is out on streaming services now.
Says Liam: “This is the original demo. It’s my favourite version; it’s silky smooth and it’s fizzy bubblech. Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream!”
The French footballer has the lead role in the video, appearing as a disenchanted aristocrat, lost in his own opulence.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have Eric Cantona, the last rock ‘n’ roll footballer, star in my video for ‘Once’,” says Liam. “Songs like this don’t come around very often and neither do football players like him.”
Eric Cantona wrote on Instagram: “When two Manchester legends meet. ‘Once’ is my song of the year.”
