New My Bloody Valentine Music Due "By The End Of This Year"

Posted by

Reclusive noise rock pioneers My Bloody Valentine will release new music before the year is out, it seems.

The Irish shoegaze titans signed to Domino earlier this year, with their studio albums gaining a revamped vinyl pressing.

Coming to streaming for the very first time, guitarist Kevin Shields then revealed that My Bloody Valentine were working on two studio albums.

Swiftly delayed due to the pandemic, it seems that the plan is now to release the albums about six months apart.

Chatting to the Jakarta Post, no less, Kevin Shields explained that fans would get new material from the band “by the end of this year…”

It echoes previous sentiments in a New York Times piece, in which the guitarist emphasised the group’s “plans to release the new albums in succession next year, with an interval of at least six months.”

Hold tight, folks.

My Bloody Valentine’s last studio album ‘m b v’ was released in 2013.
