Sleaford Mods will release new album ‘Spare Ribs’ through Rough Trade on January 15th.
The duo – Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn – have laid out plans for their sixth album, which emerges in the opening weeks of 2021.
‘Spare Ribs’ follows their live stream from London’s 100 Club earlier this year, and features guest vocals from Amyl and the Sniffers’ singer Amy Taylor, and Billy Nomates.
Indeed, Bristol DIY talent Billy Nomates features on the band’s new single, with ‘Mork N Mindy’ becoming “the sound of the central heating and the dying smells of Sunday dinner in a house on an estate in 1982. Concrete, dinted garages, nicotine. Where beauty mainly exists in small cracks on the shell of your imagination.”
Ben Wheatley directs the video, which was filmed on location in Nottingham and boasts a replica of the house Jason grew up in.
