Formerly recognized as Adonay Encarnacion, her artistic journey commenced at the age of four through the graceful art of ballet. The echoes of her balletic origins are evident in the fluidity and finesse that permeate her musical compositions. Graduating from Homestead Sr High, Adonay continued to nurture her artistic prowess at the prestigious New World School of the Arts, exploring an array of disciplines, including ballet, modern dance, jazz, music composition, and theater.
The year 1998 marked a pivotal moment in Adonay‘s career with the release of the “Buffalo Gals Stampede Remix,” a collaboration with Malcolm McLaren featuring Rakim. This musical venture served as her initiation into the expansive realm of the music industry, laying the groundwork for a multifaceted career that would unfold over the years. Private vocal lessons with Gil Magno and dedicated pursuits in dance at the Miami Conservatory of Ballet further enriched her artistic vocabulary.
In 2001, armed with an Associates of the Arts degree, Adonay expanded her artistic horizons, delving into acting and singing while acquiring expertise in various technical facets of the entertainment industry, encompassing film production, audio and video technology, writing, directing, producing, and editing. The culmination of these skills culminated in the founding of Future Media Broadcasting & Production in 2007, an ambitious venture focusing on multimedia production, marketing, and business development.
The year 2013 witnessed a return to academia, with Adonay obtaining a BBA in General Business with a specialization in International Business from Berkeley College. A reunion with music producer Chris Anthony in 2020 resulted in the creation of the two-part EP series, “Adonay” and “Adonay 2.0,” produced with Roberto Morales at West Sound Recording Studio.
