Drake has been extending his reach in the film and television industry with Top Boy and Euphoria, and he’s looking to dig his hands even deeper in the pot.
In a report by Deadline on Thursday (April 29), the 6 God and his longtime friend and manager, Future the Prince, will be executive producing a psychological thriller titled Spiral starring Selena Gomez. The film will be directed by Petra Collins, a Canadian artist and fashion designer and Forest Hill Entertainment’s Matthew Budman and Sumaiya Kaveh are reportedly producing the project.

Spiral tells the story of a former influencer whose addiction to social media causes her body to fall apart, literally. The script was written by Phoebe Fisher with Collins and Melissa Broder penning a previous draft.
Drake was recently spotted at the Oscars after party taking pictures with producer Lena Waithe, model Winnie Harlow and newly minted best supporting actor Daniel Kaluuya. Drake could be looking to have as many awards in film as he does with music given how much he’s been doing behind the scenes in Hollywood.
Euphoria was nominated for six Emmy Awards and took home three by in 2020 including outstanding lead actress in a drama series for Zendaya’s portrayal as Rue and outstanding original music and lyrics. Season 2 was ordered in Summer 2019.
