However it is the artist’s vocal talent that is fascinating. She effortlessly goes high and low, all the while transmitting the full scope of emotions through her performance.
The song incorporates elements of many genres. Especially unexpected are the semi-techno semi-alt rock beats in the form of a chorus. Mayia tells the story of a ‘temporary’ love, saying “I’m sorry, but you should have known that I’m temporary.”
The artist has always been fascinated by music and has learnt to play various instruments from a very young age. Drums, electric guitar, and the piano all fit into her arsenal. It is no wonder that Mayia understands music so well and is able to create beautiful tracks that are modern, fresh-sounding yet familiar and soulful.
