York County, SC – Two arrests have reportedly been made in the January shooting death of Paul Harts — better known as South Carolina rapper 18Veno. According to WCNC, 20-year-old Khalil Robinson of Winnsboro was taken into custody by York County authorities on February 4 and charged with voluntary manslaughter.

Deputies also arrested 22-year-old Christopher Lamont McCollough on drug-related charges linked to the case.

Sheriff Kevin Tolson said, “After weeks of diligent investigation our detectives believe these are the people responsible for the unnecessary death of Paul Harts.”

Police responded to a home in the 400 block of Byars Street on January 23 and discovered two teens, ages 17 and 18, suffering from gunshot wounds. Although they were rushed to Piedmont Medical Center, they both succumbed to their injuries.

As the news spread on social media, Hip Hop platforms such as RapCaviar quickly paid their respects, calling him one of South Carolina’s emerging stars.

“RIP 18veno,” RapCaviar wrote. “He was really on the come up out of South Carolina. Prayers up for his loved ones.”
