Posted by Welsh songwriter Strawberry Guy has shared his new single, ‘I’ll Never Feel That Young Again’. The artist, who first captured hearts with his enchanting 2019 EP and his 2021 debut album ‘Sun Outside My Window’, continues to refine his signature sound with this latest release.
The musician’s trajectory took a fascinating turn when his track ‘Mrs Magic’ went viral, evolving into a trans-Atlantic success that highlighted his precocious talent for melody and atmosphere. Now, he returns with a fresh perspective.
‘I’ll Never Feel That Young Again’ masterfully blends a lush, Laurel Canyon-inspired arrangement with modern psych-pop sensibilities. The track was produced by Strawberry Guy himself and features mastering by Grammy Award-winner Matt Colton, whose credits include work with Arctic Monkeys, Little Simz, Tame Impala, and Wet Leg.
“It’s a song of hope written to a less developed version of who I am today,” says Alex. “A version of myself who didn’t know what was to come… But on the other side of that, there’s a part of me that misses the innocence of being that young. When you’re young, you kind of don’t care as much about being perfect and having your shit together. It is a love letter from my older self to my younger self and vice versa.”

Fans can catch Strawberry Guy live at Manchester’s Band on the Wall on September 18th, followed by a performance at London’s Scala on September 20th.
