The Game Ordered To Pay $500K For Canceled Australia Tour

AUSTRALIA – The Game is reportedly in trouble regarding a 2017 Australia tour run that happened to be canceled. According to DailyMail, an Australian federal court ruled that The Game and his agent must pay back about $500,000 and legal fees for promoters Tour Squad.

Justice Sarah Derrington reportedly ordered the Compton native to fork over $478,119.73 in damages, plus interest of $78,508.08 to be exact for the seven-city tour that never was. Stops were expected across Australia staples in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Negotiations between The Game and Tour Squad came to a screeching halt when they hit a roadblock over Tour Squad’s refusal to fund The Game’s tour documentary for more than $3 million. The Game also requested that he have a 15-man entourage with him that would have all their expenses paid on the Australian trek.

On the other hand, The Game also upped his performance fee from $32,100 to $51,340, which threw another wrench in their negotiations. All in all, Justice Derrington determined that The Game backing out of the deal was a breach of contract with Tour Squad.

In 2020, Australian rapper YC EWZY put The Game on blast for scamming Australian artists. Ewzy threatened The Game saying he’s “banned” from Australia next time he paid the Aussies a visit he would “get got.”
