Bobby Shmurda Promises New Music With Migos Again But Fans Are Losing Hope

Bobby Shmurda has been a free man since February, and fans have been waiting for him to drop new music. The hype train began to pick up steam when footage of the “Hot N-gga” rapper recording in a studio found its way online, and things got even more amplified when Bobby Shmurda promised new music was on the way with each passing week.

Months passed, and there was still no music coming from Bobby and his camp until this past weekend. At Rolling Loud Miami, Bobby Shmurda finally previewed a new song, and while he was having fun performing it on stage, some fans were left underwhelmed.

During his recent visit to Desus & Mero, the Brooklyn native gave yet another update on new music, this time on the long-awaited collaborative mixtape with Migos, Shmigo Gang

“We got all types of different music coming out,” he said. “We got the Shmurda shit coming out. We got the Shmigos shit coming out. It’s going to be a lit summer.”

With about a month left in the summer season, there’s still hope that Bobby Shmurda could drop something in August, but fans aren’t holding their breath. Many have already taken to social media to voice their frustrations with Bobby’s first performance since being free and the wait for new music.

“Bobby shmurda had 7 years and really played hot n-gga and Bobby bitch at rolling loud,” tweeted one person.

Another added, “Bruh seeing Bobby Shmurda struggle to come out with a hit now is really hurting me, especially as a NYer.”

Others felt Bobby’s window might have already closed, and he missed his chance at reclaiming his spotlight.

“Bobby Shmurda is done… He’s been mishandled and mis advised ever since his release. And all his new music has been mid…,” someone tweeted.

Fans will have to wait for Bobby Shmurda to release new music despite them growing more impatient. There are rumors going around that the song he recorded with Latin rap stars J Blavin and El Carrion will drop on Friday (July 30), so Bobby may be holding true to his word.
