Defected Records aim to host their own ‘virtual’ festival this week.
The label has a rich history, one of the UK’s foremost dance labels, capable of hosting events across the globe.
The spread of coronavirus has shuttered the imprint’s live intentions, so they’ve decided to take everything online.
Defected Records will host a ‘virtual’ festival this Friday (March 20th), broadcasting across Facebook Live and YouTube from 12pm to 2am.
DJ sets will come from Sam Divine, Joey Negro, Monki, Simon Dunmore, The Shapeshifters, Dan Shake and more.
Simon Dunmore comments:
“Music and clubbing are an escape for many and, with social gatherings being rightfully restricted, we wanted to connect people online in the hope that they appreciate they are not alone. The reaction to Defected Virtual Festival has been incredible and we have been inundated with DJs and performers wanting to get involved.”
“Our thoughts will remain with everyone affected by the current situation, but believe we have a role to remain positive, and bring people together however we’re able.”
