T-Pain Launches Polyamory Dating Show Searching For a Third

GAIA BUCKLEY

T-Pain is expanding his creative footprint with the launch of Searching For a Third, a fresh reality series that explores the complexities of non-monogamous relationships. As the creator and executive producer of the show, the artist is bringing a unique perspective to the dating competition genre, even stepping into the role of host to guide the narrative.

The series centers on the personal journey of DJ Montay, the artist's longtime collaborator, and his partner, Shonte. The show documents their active search for a third person to integrate into their existing relationship. By utilizing a traditional dating show framework, the program provides an intimate look at the couple as they evaluate potential partners, navigate the highs and lows of early chemistry, and confront the inevitable feelings of jealousy that arise during such a transition.

"I'm proud to announce the first ever @nappyboynetwork original series, Searching For A Third," he wrote. "Created and executive produced by yours truly. What happens when my good friends @djmontay and @iamshonterenee open up their relationship with room for one more? This is their polyamory journey and all the crazy twists and turns that go along with it!"

Beyond the excitement of new connections, the show delves into the practical side of polyamory, highlighting the necessary compromises and open communication required to maintain a healthy dynamic. Viewers will get a front-row seat to the couple's efforts to find someone who is a compatible match for both of them.

The Nappy Boy Network original production is scheduled to make its digital debut on YouTube on Wednesday, November 11, at 8 p.m. ET. Following the premiere, new episodes will be released on a weekly basis, culminating in a two-part reunion special slated for early next year.
