Cardi B’s debut album Invasion of Privacy arrived in April 2018, and it was quite the introduction for a new artist. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, clocking in over 255,000 album-equivalent units in its first week and has since been certified triple platinum.
The album was a huge win for the Bronx rap star, and now it’s getting even bigger with the latest accolade it just received. On Thursday (March 24), Chart Data reported Bardi’s Invasion of Privacy is the first album in history to have every single song go platinum.
The rapper retweeted the news while fanning the excitement for her long-awaited sophomore project. “AMAZING,” she wrote. “can’t wait for my second album Thanks for all the love & support.”

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded Cardi B five new plaques on Wednesday (March 24), with the Invasion of Privacy tracks “Bickenhead,” “Money Bag” and the SZA-assisted “I Do” officially reaching platinum status.
“Thru Your Phone” earned double platinum certification, while Cardi’s “WAP” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion also joined the platinum club. Invasion of Privacy boasts not one but two diamond singles (“Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It”), making Cardi B the first female rapper with multiple songs to surpass 10 million sales.
Fans have been waiting patiently for Cardi B to unleash her sophomore effort, but she’s been busy being a mother and businesswoman. The “Up” rapper did manage to release a handful of singles and features throughout 2021, but it’s been four years since she dropped a full body of work, and the excitement only continues to grow.
