Doja Cat received personal help from Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, after making a “mistake” by changing her display name.
The Planet Her artist changed her Twitter name to “christmas” on Thursday (November 10) before realizing she couldn’t change it to something else. So, she called on Musk for his help in fixing the technical hitch, to which he obliged.

Elon Musk replied: “Working on it! Pretty funny though.” He later responded to Doja Cat’s “#boob” tweet, saying: “You should be able to change your name now.”

On Thursday, Doja Cat also posted an audio clip calling out people for paying $8 a month to be verified as part of the new Twitter Blue subscription, which was introduced shortly after Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of the social media platform.
“You guys are paying $8 a month to come on here and go to war with people who are not in agreement with who your favorite popstar is?” she said. “You’re paying $8 a month to come on here and say shit like ‘Byeee’?
“You’re coming on here for $8 a month to post porn and then get into an argument? Um, I think I can stop there. Okay, cool. Byeee.”

During an interview with ELLE in May, Doja Cat talked about her relationship with social media and constantly engaging with fans.
“I put a lot of things out there about myself. I’m just constantly on live,” she said at the time. “Sometimes I look at myself and I’m like, ‘Well, if you could just fucking turn off your phone for, like, five minutes.’
“When I’m getting creative in any way, I like to see what people think of it. I’ll be like, ‘Should I do this hat or that hat?’ Or, ‘We’re going to do a ’90s-inspired makeup thing today.’ Or, ‘My wig is falling off the front of my face. Do you want to watch me reapply it?’”
She added: “Now I just go online and scream at people, and that’s kind of a fun hobby for me.”
