Drake just dropped over half a million dollars on a couple necklaces.
On Wednesday (July 29), Drizzy showed off his pair of twin Tupac chains from celebrity jeweler, Jason of Beverly Hills. According to TMZ, the OVO star spent a whopping $600,000 to get the extremely elaborate custom pieces, which feature a gold crown of thorns on one and a diamond crown of thorns on the other. They both also have a diamond chain with around 70 carats of white and yellow diamonds.

On his Instagram Story, Drake joked he “always wanted twin Jesus pieces.”
Perhaps the chains were an early celebratory gift for being close to wrapping up his sixth studio album, as Drake’s engineer Noel Cadastre revealed Tuesday (July 28) the project is almost complete.
“Studio for my bday…we 90% but y’all gonna have to wait on that last 10%,” he wrote on Instagram.
This is a step up from the 80 percent update Drake gave just earlier this month, so if the current pace is any indication – it’s almost album season. The as-of-yet untitled project will be the follow-up to 2018’s top-charting Scorpion, and will be significantly shorter than its predecessor.
“This album I’ll probably make it more of a realistic offering,” Drake said in a February interview. “Something more concise. It could be 10, 11 songs – 16.”
