Kanye West may have pushed back Donda to August 6, but he still carried through with the Apple Music listening event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday night (July 22). The sold-out crowd was treated to an early listen of the long-awaited project and overpriced snacks.
But those who think $45 for a cookie is outrageous, one Kanye fan is looking to capitalize on the air circulating inside the venue that evening — that’s right, air.
On Friday (July 23), a screenshot of what appears to be an eBay listing for oxygen began circulating online with a starting price of $3,333.33, plus $4 for shipping.
The listing — which is labeled, “Bag of Air from DONDA drop – Kanye West – Mercedes Benz Stadium— includes an image of the hand of the seller holding up the small plastic bag with ’Ye’s album listening event as the background. The bag itself reads: “AIR FROM DONDA DROP.”

In 2015, someone made over $60,000 from an eBay listing selling air from Kanye West’s 2013-2014 Yeezus Tour, which received at least 90 bids.
Donda was expected to arrive on Friday (July 23) but unsurprisingly didn’t. In an Instagram post from media personality and Demon Time creator Justin Laboy, the same person who claimed Donda was an instant “classic” shortly after attending a private listening party at a Las Vegas church last week, said it would drop on August 6 — but of course, that should be taken with a grain of salt.
“KANYE WEST WILL MOVE THE RELEASE DATE OF DONDA TO AUGUST 6TH,” he shared. “THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE. HE WANTS TO GIVE HIS FANS THE BEST POSSIBLE PRODUCT WITHOUT RUSHING ANYTHING. HE LOVES YALL WITH ALL OF HIS HEART. GOD BLESS.”
He wrote in the caption, “ALBUM OF THE YEAR WILL BE RELEASED ON AUGUST 6th. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE. TRUST ME IT’S GOING TO BE WORTH IT.”
